With the Platinum Priestess’ staff (or is it staph, I can never get that spelling thing right) going through the porthole to Jupiter, what will be Spooky’s next move?

Trying for a soft landing after the wormhole stops sucking! 🙂

But then what?
With all this buildup there has to be bigger and better DRAMA…

Oh, there will be plenty of drama with Sircea even if they manage to keep her under control!

Is there any demand for Laser plushies™?

I’m imagining Sircea holding out her hand for her Staff, Thor-style, and waiting three days for it to get back.

It’s so embarrassing when you’re no longer worthy, and all out in public! 😁

Spooky is really unpredictable! I’m so glad his tactic worked. Now he needs to get away from the portal!

I have a feeling that it’ll just slam shut once the staff is on the other side – Spooky may lose his coat’s tails if he isn’t careful, though!

When the hell did the laser bears get all molesty?

That is a sentence that I didn’t expect to write… EVER in the fullness of life.

You know, if this page hadn’t started on such a kinky note, Spooky’s “Let’s see if I can’t fill that void!” wouldn’t sound so… suggestive.

Hmm, to me it looks more like they’re just holding her down and are keeping her busy and distracted with their laser beams while the others absond with her staff.

Slightly interesting how you see it, though – does that hold up when you look again, I wonder…? 🤔

Holding her down and keeping her busy and distracted while the others abscond with her staff is indeed what they are doing.

She’s trying to murder Spooky and his friends because they’re trying to stop her from murdering a bunch of kids. This is not a situation in which she can claim to be a victim of groping/molestation.

A palsied Dr Doom to Sircea in the Decrepit Super-Villains Retirement Home:

“I don’t think I heard you right. Your Platinum Power Trident was taken from you by a teenager and his army of WHAT?”

They say if it’s a happy experience, it’s a memory. And if it’s a bad experience, it’s a story.

At least, that’s what they say for travel. This would be a heck of a story for her to dine out on. 🙂

Clever Spooky, stealing her staff. I guess now we’ll see if it’s really special or if it’s just a focus. Kind of hoping it’s the source of her portal making. I think we’d all rest easier knowing PP couldn’t just portal into the teams homes at night and kill everyone while they sleep. She’s likely mad enough to do it at this point.

Omg so I already loved the bears but then they had to go and say “heeyah” which in my head sounds adorable.
If you make plushies out of them that have red glowing eyes and yell “heeyah” in a baby voice when you squeeze them I’m getting like 20 of them!

OMG, they vocalize! I’m hearing Treat Williams’ character from “The Ritz” (1976) with that “HEE-YAH!” If this ever gets animated, the green laser gummies have to sound like that.

That’s impressive. I was expecting a swarm attack , but mainly as a distraction to get the Platinum Priestess’s focus away from Spooky for long enough for him to do something. I hadn’t expected them to be able to make a coordinated manouevre to steal the Priestess’s weapon.

What happens next will be interesting, because it presupposes that the staff is an important tool – whether as a ‘magic battery’ to store extra power or as a ‘swiss army knife’ that makes particular magical actions quicker and easier, or both. Knowing as we do that Spooky has been tracking the Priestess for a while, I would hope that he’s done his research and is taking a step that gives him the best advantage in this fight. On the other hand, Spooky’s tendency to fly by the seat of his pants means he might just be doing it to p!ss the Priestess off and hoping that she’ll get angry enough to make stupid mistakes.

Am I the only one who is reminded of the scene in The Fellowship of the Ring where Saruman grabs Gandalf’s staff?
