In those bottoms two panels, I see Mitch freeing more children from the trees and Cory playing “Tumble the minion” with the hooded figures.
I notice the Priestess is still holding onto her staff. She’s like a Timex watch: takes a licking and keeps on ticking. I think Spooky is going to need a new strategy soon. Maybe freeze her solid the way he did with the false Ikaroth?
Very glad to see that Mitch and Cory seem to be doing well… so far. Incidentally, assuming they free all the kids and defeat all the crazies, will they sensibly fly the kids to somewhere safer, or will they try to find out how Spooky’s doing? Frankly, I think one of the crazies will try something unexpected that’ll make that question moot, but I’m not all that great as a Cassandra.
She’ll definitely feel that in the morning.
Hard to see in the penciled preview page, but hopefully Cory is easier to see in the colors. And in Vero’s next color pass, I’d like him to be even more visible.
