So! Cory is facing off against two dinosaurs. But we know he’s not helpless! And much to the Shepherd’s surprise, he just launched a huge boulder at the dino with stripes. Will it be enough to get these monsters to back off?

This reminds me of that old bromide: “Sticks and Stones May Break my Bones…”
WELL! DARLING! I surely hope so!
Rocks, especially flying Rocks are the bane of a dinosaur’s existence.
That big metal rock (Meteor) that hit 65 million years ago and caused the Cretaceous-Paleogene extinction.
Before it, Tyrannosaurus rex , triceratops, armored ankylosaurs, duck-billed dinosaurs, crocodilians, turtle-like creatures, mosasaurs and ancient fish roamed the forests and seas.
After it, mammalian life survived in the form of first 1 pound ancient rats, then increasing in size and diversity up the mammalian ladder for the next hundreds of thousands years. Think of animals the size of raccoons, wolves.
SO, if I were a dinosaur and saw a rock flying at me, I might run far, far, far away and hope that extinction wasn’t immanent.

Sort of like a giant bell with Señor de la Cruz in Coco?
Hm. I was expecting Cory to tele-shove the dinosaurs away directly, but perhaps he’s not sure he can push creatures (or things) quite that heavy? I’m very unsure this show of strength will scare off the dinos or not. I hope so, but if not, there’s more large rocks they can be formally introduced to.
Hopefully Little Boy Blue is more impressed or curious than scared by the telekinesis, and let’s also hope he knows either English or Spanish. Then he can tell Cory (and us) where (and maybe when) they are.
To those stones that function as hiding spot for the blue fella? Let’s hope he likes company?

Hum. Dino’s and thinking. Wasn’t sure the thoughts (?) had come in on their intelligence beyond, food, eat, mate. That type of thing. You seem to be a font of some encyclopedic knowledge too Dave. Kudos.
Not really. A few years ago, I had to help my Niece do a science project on the biggest impact craters on Earth. Chicxulub was the largest and I’ve followed the scientific discoveries about it ever since. There’s also an upcoming special on some cable channel about the extinction event premiering in the next few days.
As for Dinosaurs thinking, well that’s a question I can’t answer right now.
They are indeed very, very, very heavy.
That’s where I’d run to, as well.
I’m glad you like that. Something I was really looking forward to seeing when the script got drawn, and I think Gabriel did a really great job with that. I really like writing these two—the shepherd and Cory. Hopefully, I’ll be able to keep telling their story.
Bad as it would be if extinction was immanent, I think you mean imminent.
